Course recognition process

Students who have been admitted to the Department and wish to be recognized for courses they have successfully completed in other Departments of Higher Education submit a relevant application to the Secretariat of the Department with attached the documents of successful completion from the Department of Origin and course outlines for which the application for recognition.

The Secretariat of the Department sends the applications to the Course Assignment Committee, which always in collaboration with the responsible teacher of the course jointly studies the detailed outline of each course, workload, credits and the degree received by the student in the Department of Origin. The competent teacher judges the adequacy or not of the applicant's knowledge based on the submitted material and exempts him or her from the course. In case of non-recognition of a course, he / she states the reason for his / her decision and this is registered in the student's file.

 

The Course Assignment Committee submits a reasoned proposal to the Assembly of the Department and the Assembly decides finally. In case of recognition of the course, the grade received by the student in the Department of Origin remains as it is, while the credits he will receive will be the credits given to the corresponding course of the Nursing Department.
