Computer and Network Center

 

The Telematics Network Center (TNC) of the Computerization Department of the University of Thessaly http://it.uth.gr  is another support unit of the entire information system of the University and is also used by the Department of Nursing.

 

The purpose of the Center is both the proper operation of Information Technologies and the Network, as well as the satisfaction of the needs of the users of the computers and the network services. In particular, the TNC is responsible for the continuous monitoring and support of the needs of the institution regarding equipment and software and the supervision of the operation of the communications network. It is also responsible for ensuring the institution's access to the internet and for its cooperation with the University Internet (GUNet) in order to benefit from the services provided.

 

Among the services offered by the Center are the User Desk (Help Desk), user accounts, VPN provision, wifi / eduroam, the online Secretariat sis-web, e-training, e-mail, Office365 and SPSS.
